Monotype is a type of printmaking that appeals to painters for its ability to be very gestural. Starting with black ink and then branching out with color, you will create prints based on your own photographs or drawings addressing:
urban landscape (focus on shape & value)
portrait (focus on form & mood)
something from the natural world (focus on texture).
Be sure to look at the plexiglass plates available to you for planning the size of your reference.
