Final Rough Draft sketch
What's included in the final work:
Create at least 7 openings in perspective
Use a full range of value to create depth in the composition - will you incorporate color?
The world you create should have details that engage the viewer
What do I need to do for my Final Drawing?
Using parallel diagonal lines, create at least 7-10 openings or areas of structure of various sizes (no two openings the same shape or the same size).
Transform the openings into your own original Enchanted Environment (either interior or exterior or both).
It’s okay to use online reference to create your designs, spaces, textures, etc. M.C. Escher, Matthew Borrett for examples
Rules that you must follow for this to work visually and complete the project requirements
All diagonal lines travelling in the same direction to create the openings must be parallel to each other.
All vertical lines used to create the inside environments must be parallel to the sides of the paper.
All additional lines that create the top and bottom of windows, doorways, additional cubes must be parallel to the diagonal lines travelling in the same direction.
All openings must be enhanced with linework, shading, additional objects (stairs, windows, doors, organic items, etc. No blank openings.
When you are working through your final composition there will be an opportunity to give and receive feedback.
When you finish your drawing please take a CLEAR photo of your work and upload it to your site.
Next to the image of your work respond, using complete sentences, to the following reflection questions:
Describe the world you created. What details did you include and why?
What challenges did you face while working on this project and what strategies did you use to overcome them?
What strengths does your work exhibit? What are you proud of in this work?
