Project Requirements
Reference is an original photo
Color Scheme: Warm w/ Cool Highlights or Cool w/ Warm Highlights
Research: 8 color paintings that are Annotated
Practice: Sketchbook drawings of small areas with oil pastel testing out your color scheme. At least 1 page
Plan: Before you get your canvas, your SB must include:
Photo you are using
8 annotated images
1 page color studies
If you handed your SB to someone could they do the project as you envision it? The point of this is so that you make as many decisions as possible BEFORE you start your painting. Doing that will allow you to focus on PAINTING instead of making decisions like what you are doing with the background or what color scheme to use.

Look at different artists and see what STYLES are of interest to you. You will do both projects this year, you just get to pick the order.
I recommend WAITING to pick the image you will use until AFTER you decide how you would like to paint.
