Get creative and show me some sort of narrative from an exaggerated perspective - "a new angle on things" if you will. It doesn't have to be realistic (perspective or stylistically). Reference the Pinterest page, children's book illustrations, comic books and graphic novels, fisheye photography, and YOUR IMAGINATION.
This project should be designed as a Project of Choice with Expressive, Exaggerated Perspective as the one requirement.
Planning Should Include at least 4 pages of Sketchbook planning - You should be able to hand your sketchbook to Ms. Bailey or a peer and they would be able to complete your project without asking you any questions.
1 Page - 2 Artists that influence your ideas - analyze what about their work you like
1 Page - Brainstorming and images that you are using in the process of figuring out your idea
2 Pages - Composition and Color studies, peer critique and feedback, finalized planning
Final Work Must
Be original, avoid being derivative (just plugging your own images into an existing idea)
At least 11"x14"
Show your voice as an artist - expression
Be technically excellent - Make sure your color, image, composition, and stylistic decisions push the boundaries of perspective or scale relationships and support the intent of your work.
Blog Reflection - Answer in paragraph format. Photo should be close-up of the BEST part of your work.
How did you go about designing your work? Discuss your decision making process about things like imagery, meeting exaggerated perspective requirement, color, composition, etc.
What did you learn during this process/project? What were the issues that you solved, was surprising, what pushed your artistic boundaries, was successful? Be specific in giving visual evidence to back up your response.
If you were to do another image to go along with this one would it be a prequel or sequel? What would the imagery show? Would it make the piece you completed stronger?
