The Paperboy
Homework one of two:
Read The Paperboy at least four times.
Discuss getting up before everyone else does, and how that would look outside. What time of day do you think the paperboy wakes up.
Discuss being responsible and having a job and taking care of a pet.
Look at a newspaper, browse different sections of the newspaper. Discuss the types of things you can learn from a newspaper.
Bring an article or picture from the newspaper. We'll share that at our next group.
Homework two of two:
Read The Paperboy at least four times and/or retell it while looking at the pictures.
Discuss the types of things you do on Saturday mornings. What time do you wake up on a Saturday?
Draw what you do on a Saturday morning. Write three descriptive sentences using the sequence words "first," "next" and "last." on the page included about what you do on a
Saturday morning. This will be shared at the next lit group.
