Week 1

  • Visual Spatial: Trace your child on the large paper with chalk and help them add details to their face and body

  • Literacy: Have your child guess the body part that comes next while listening to the rhyme from the book I Ain't Gonna Paint No More

  • Verbal Language: Label body parts on your child during daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.

Week 2

  • Self Regulation and Auditory Processing: Use picture symbols (pic syms) of "stop and go" while playing "Red Light, Green Light"

  • Literacy, Verbal Language, and Fine Motor: Use the pic sym schedule to teach getting dressed independently for the day. Encourage your child to try to button, snap, and zip up his/her own clothing. Model use of sequence words (first, next, last) and body parts while putting on and reading the pic sym chart
