Intro to ArcGIS Online for Clemson University Facilities
Introduction
This session introduces you to ArcGIS Online, a collaborative web GIS platform that allows you to use, create, and share maps, GIS apps, layers, analytics, and GIS data. With ArcGIS Online you get access to Esri's secure cloud, where not only you can add your data and publish it online, but you also get access to ready-to-use maps, data and template apps.

1. Accessing ArcGIS Online

Log in using the username and password you were provided.
Content
Browse & search content
Under Content, under My Organization, search for Fire_Hydrant_Locations_CCGT.
Work with content
Groups
Click on your Groups tab and see what groups you are a member of. Click on Training. Look at the members of the group. Examine the content of the group.

Click on Fire_Hydrant_Locations_CCGT, look at the item detail.

View statistics for a numeric field-- Field for which we are examining the statistics: Static_Pressure
Select and zoom to features

Filtering
Applying a filter: Static_Pressure is greater than 343
Combining filter conditions: Static_Pressure is greater than 343 AND Employee is 'Mark Smith'
Editing data
Add layer to new map with full editing control
Add a hypothetical fire hydrant point and in the Comment field put your name.
Delete one point.
Attach a photo from your computer to one of the points.

Adding data
Look for Fire_Hydrant_Locations_CCGT, CU_Irrigation_CCGT, CU_Waterlines_CCGT.
Symbology
Change symbology for Fire_Hydrant_Locations_CCGT. Image to use here.
Change symbology for CU_Irrigation_CCGT from red to blue.

Pop-up Title: Fire Hydrant Information
Configure Attributes: Hydrant Number, Static Pressure, Comment, Employee.
