Some examples to spark your creativity can be found at the links below. These are great uses of multimedia and mapping which draw in the user! They also demonstrate some of the different layouts and functionality available through various templates.

Here is an example of the story map you will be creating during this session.

1. Creating A Story Map

In the top right corner of AGOL, click on the grid to the left of your profile. In the options available, select StoryMaps. Click the + New Story button. Select Start from scratch.

It is important you take the time to think about the goal of your story map, your audience, your content, and also the flow of information from one section to the next.

After that exercise, get pencil and paper and draw the overall sections for your story map.
