Numbered Heads Share

(A Version of Numbered Heads Together)

1. Place students in teams of 4.
2. Have team members select a number (1, 2, 3 or 4).
3. Pose a question or topic for groups to discuss.
4. When the time allotted for discussion is complete, ask team member number ____ to stand and move clockwise to the next team.
5. The traveling team member describes the discussion that occurred in their team and listens to the visited team describe the discussion that occurred in their group.
6. The process is repeated posing additional questions while the traveling team members remain in their new teams.
