Group Write

1. Place students in groups of 3 to 6.
2. Give each individual in the group a different color of marker.
3. Give each group one piece of chart paper.
4. Give individuals in the group a set amount of time to record all ideas they can generate around a given topic.
5. Ask group members to discuss and summarize their thoughts.
6. The group next develops a title for their chart and records it at the top.
7. Use a round robin or stand and share technique to share the group’s ideas with the class.
