Essential Learner Outcomes
RLAE.3.1 - (3.1.2.2) MAIN IDEA AND DETAILS - Recount stories, including fables, folktales, and myths from diverse cultures; determine the central message, lesson, or moral and explain how it is conveyed through key details in the text. (Fiction)
RLAE.3.2 - (3.2.2.2)- MAIN IDEA AND DETAILS Determine the main idea of a text; recount the key details and explain how they support the main idea. (nonfiction)
RLAE.3.3 - (3.3.0.4) Fluency: Read grade level text with sufficient accuracy and fluency including appropriate rate and expression with purpose and understanding.
RLAE.3.4 - (3.1.3.3) CHARACTER TRAITS - 3.1.3.3 Describe characters in a story (e.g., their traits, motivations, or feelings) and explain how their actions contribute to the sequence of events in a story or poem.
RLAE.3.5- (3.1.4.4) - WORD STUDY - Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, distinguishing literal from nonliteral language, including figurative language such as similes.
RLAE.3.6 - Write an opinion paragraph on a topic or text with supporting statements
