Essential Learner Outcomes

AG.BS.1 - Define and identify agribusiness and free enterprise system, compare agribusiness organizations, outline business activities and insurance needs

AG.BS.2 -Recognize advantages and limitations coop, trace the history, id characteristics, appreciate the range of products and services, understand how the coop is structured, controlled and financed. Recognize the responsibilities and duties of coop members.

AG.BS.3 - Categorize personal and business income and expenses, develop personal budget, compare types of investments and savings, obtaining credit strengths and weakness and source of credit, distinguish variable costs from fixed costs

AG.BS.4 - Accurately write a check, record transaction, depsit slips, bank statements. Explain statement of owners equity(cash flow, new worth, balance sheet, income and accounds receivable, accounts payable, cash flow statement). Taxes, po numbers, and exempt items

AG.BS.5 - Define types of inventory, importances of accuracy, determine the depreciated or market value, turnover, shipping costs and losses

AG.BS.6 - Prepare documents to receiving paychecks, calculate take home pay, federal and state income tax, keeping records or income and expenses, deductible and capital and managing income after tax income

AG.BS.7 - Describe how production, distribution, and marketing of food and fiber, impact of agriculture on economy, processing and distributing food and fiber, economic priciples of supply and demand, how to read commodity prices and calculate market functions, plan for sales, trade, import/export, and pricing

AG.BS.8 - Identifying positive personality traits, work habits, distinguish between job success and failure factors, dealing with co-workers, accept constructive criticism, outline steps in systematic problem solving, develop a plan for personal development
