Essential Learner Outcomes

MU.Choir7.1 - The student will sing with expression and technical accuracy a repertoire of vocal literature at an appropriate level, including some songs performed from memory.

MU.Choir7.2 -The student will identify and define standard notation symbols for pitch, rhythm, dynamics, tempo, articulation, and expression.

MU.Choir7.3 - The student will listen to and analyze the uses of elements of music in aural examples representing diverse genres and cultures.

MU.Choir7.4 - The student will evaluate the quality and effectiveness of their own and others performances, compositions, arrangements, and/or improvisations by applying specific criteria appropriate for the style of the music and offer constructive suggestions for improvement.

MU.Choir7.5 - The student will classify by genre and style a varied body of exemplary musical works and explain the characteristics that cause each work to be considered exemplary.
