Essential Learner Outcomes
RLAE.APLIT.1 - Students will analyze the importance of plot as the preliminary starting point for literary analysis to understand the plot-centered, modern literature compared to classic literature.
RLAE APLIT.2 -Students will distinguish classic and modern works of drama and how they function differently from other literary genres through literary analysis.
RLAE.APLIT.3 - Students will read significant literature and utilize the methodology of selected criticisms to explain the central importance of character development in enduring literature.
RLAE.APLIT.4 - By applying theme analysis to designated literature, students will demonstrate how literary and stylistic devices and tropes often used in enduring literature.
RLAE.APLIT.5 - Students will identify and show in writing how literary techniques and rhetorical devices are important through proper analysis.
RLAE.APLIT.6 - Students will integrate self-selected novels and poems into comparative and analytical projects.
RLAE.APLIT.7 - Students will creatively extend interpretive ideas through multi-genre presentations.
