Accounting I and II Course Description
Essential Learner Outcomes
BUS.ACCT.1 - Students will apply accounting principles to determine the value of assets, liabilities, and owner's equity.
BUS.ACCT.2 - Students will complete and explain the various steps in the accounting cycle for a proprietorship, partnership, and corporation.
BUS.ACCT.3 - Students will prepare, interpret, and analyze financial statements for service and merchandising businesses.
BUS.ACCT.4 - Students will analyze and interpret the performance of a service business and a merchandising business.
BUS.ACCT.5 - Students will apply appropriate accounting principles to payroll, income taxation, managerial systems, and various forms of ownership.
BUS.ACCT.6 - Students will illustrate the importance of business ethics.
BUS.ACCT.7 - Students will demonstrate the ability to do computerized accounting.
BUS.ACCT.8 - Students will identify and describe career opportunities in the accounting profession.
