Essential Learner Outcomes

AG.NR.1 - Students will identify safety violations and safety precautions needed for projects

AG.NR.2 - Explain significance environmental science and how natural resources affects today society

AAG.NR.3 - Describe the history of MN forestry, demonstrate and understand dendrology, and the biology of coniferous and deciduous trees

AG.NR.4 - Define measurement terms using forestry and legal land descriptions. Identify and understand how land is legally described and the property lines are identified

AG.NR.5 - Determine how management practices can meet forestry forestry management plan, and how the forestry management affects wildlife habitats

AG.NR.6 - Define forest community, and identify and parts of a tree and classify tree species

AG.NR.7 - Describe specific ecosystems and their association with the environment and the methods of controlling the systems

AG.NR.8 - Describe regulations in controlling wildlife habitats and population

AG.NR.9 - Investigate all types of wildlife habitats within given areas

AG.NR.10 - Compare and contrast aquaculture in agriculture and fisheries. Relate the development of aquaculture in fishery management and the water types and qualities.

AG.NR.12 - Describe and explain how water quality is maintained, and describe how waste water is disposed and maintained. Research the impact of waster water pollution

AG.NR.14 - Determine the soil carrying capacity on land, determine soil pH, interpret soil survey and mapping, preparing soil testing for soil nutrients and work with soil conservation.
