Scope and Sequence
Essential Learner Outcomes
PEH.PE3.1 - Uses various locomotor skills in a variety of small-sided practice tasks, dance and educational gymnastics experiences.
PEH.PE3.2 - Catches a gently tossed hand-sized ball from a partner, demonstrating four of the five critical elements of a mature pattern.
PEH.PE3.3 - Uses a continuous running approach and intentionally perform a kick along the ground and a kick in the air, demonstrating four of five critical elements of a mature pattern for each.
PEH.PE3.4 - Volleys an object with an underhand or sidearm striking pattern, sending it forward over the net, to a wall or over a line to a partner, while demonstrating three of the five critical elements of a mature pattern.
PEH.PE3.5 - Balances on different bases of support, demonstrating muscle tension and extensions of free body parts.
PEH.PE3.6 - Throws to a partner with reasonable accuracy in non-dynamic environment.
PEH.PE3.7 - The student will strike a ball over a net with a racket.
PEH.PE3.8 - Performs teacher selected and developmentally appropriate dance steps and movement patterns.
PEH.PE3.9 - Performs intermediate jump-rope skills (e.g., a variety of tricks, running in/out of a long rope) for both long and short ropes.
PEH.PE3.10 -Works cooperatively with others.
PEH.PE3.11- Catches a thrown ball above the head, at chest/waist level and below the waist using a mature pattern in a non-dynamic environment.
PEH.PE3.12 - Participates with responsible personal behavior in a variety of physical activity contexts, environments, and facilities.
