Making Your Own Assessments in Study Island
If Study Island is new to you, you may need to start here -- Click Please
If you take the time to create your assessments in Study Island, YOU:
Will have access to your student scores immediately
Can tweak your test for clearer understanding (Please remember that any teacher created test is not perfect and may not actually ask a question in a way that all students understand. Be willing and ready to edit your tests as you gain a better feel for your particular students.) Creating tests online allows you to "tweak" your tests easily when necessary.
Can save your tests in a library and share them with other teachers
You can activate and deactivate tests as you need
Are able to utilize some of your own questions as well as those already field tested and provided by Study Island
You can add pictures, graphs, charts, formulas, links to your blog or Website lessons, attach word documents, google docs, maps, anything you have already created, anything you have scanned in, and much more
Can create review tests or re-tests and assign them only to the students who need them.
Can add or subtract questions depending on the special needs of your students (IDEA, 504, ESL, etc)
