Here is a QuickStart on making a Calendar Appointment (i.e. Inviting someone to an event)
Steps
(1) Open YOUR Google Email
(2) Click on the Google Grid in the upper Right-Hand corner of the email window.
(3) Click on Calendar
(4) Select the Tab you wish to view
(5) Click on the Day you wish to extend the appointment AND Click on Edit Event
(6) Fill out ALL the EVENT data (Name of the Meeting, Time of the Meeting, Where, What is the Purpose of the Meeting, etc.) I ALSO like to ADD Notifications to remind folks of the appointment.
(7) Before SAVING the event, Add the person's email in the "Add guests" blank. When you SAVE, you will be asked if you also want to SEND the person an email. Always select SEND.
