Geez, I had difficulty reading the text on this coin but was drawn to the lion image. At first was thinking Vietnamese with Uncle Ho, but with the scepter, Christian cross and crown threw me off. A very strong and regal looking Lion holding the scepter dates back to the ancient Egyptians denoting royalty. Finally determined it is a ten cent wartime piece, a 1944 10 santeems from Ethiopia. The Lion of Judah goes back to pre Christian times and places. Emperor Haile Selassie on the opposite side, was a direct descendant from King David via the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon but alas was overthrown in 1974.

In Iran there are age old and lengthy and astrological interpretations for the menacing Lion with sword and the Sun symbols found on my 1938 Iran 5 dinar coin.

The India lion symbol incredibly dates to a four lion  250 years BC statue standing on a horse, lotus flower, and elephant (zoom) on my 1957 India 5 paise coin. British Empire granted independence after WW2. And yes, there are lions in India.

Indian coins were used by our friends next door in Pakistan when they first gained independence from the UK after WW2. They have a motto of: unity, discipline, faith. It's a nice motto to have and probably was practiced by master terrorist Osama Bin Laden who allegedly live there. Abbotabad is about 20 miles from Kashmir site of an ever ongoing struggle of terrorism. The 1951 Pakistan two annas coin symbol here relates back to the moon gods.
