slow progress

Friend Tony began this project many years ago. It was a basket case. Took this picture 4 years ago when he started in ernest to begin assembly. Sadly it has not gotten very far along for various reasons. This is an attempt to spur him through inspiration/ embarassment to complete the job now that he is retired and has "nothing to do". 

Got tins, tank, oil cooler painted 4 years ago.

Recently got the 1971 HD 1000cc sportster motor rebuilt.

They say you can just pick up the motor and throw in the frame. NO. Two guys can't lift it. Jockeyed around with his tractor scoop. 

Actually we had to reverse the install from the left side to clear the frame. Got rear mounting bolts in. Then the pesky two front motor mount brackets raised their ugly heads. Mounting almost completed however.

Miscellaneous work to be done. Come on man, get this done so i can ride it.
