Bradley's Overlook

doggie likes a lot

Took a hike to Bradley's Overlook near the Pinnacle Mt on Lake George. First good photo with my new iPhone Pro Max. which seems to have a pretty good camera lens that some say can compete with a digital SLR

Using camera format Apple ProRAW 48 Mp on this trip with post editing to achieve best results. However, most the time I'll probably be on most compatible 12 Mp Jpeg.

With the thousands of cell phone settings it's incumbent upon the user to have as much understanding as they can of how to control the device. (impossible?) These video tips were helpful as I spent a few hours re-setting checkboxes to conserve battery life.

A Bald Eagle had just begun flying over visible but knew it would appear tiny so I clicked on the 3X setting (9mm lens translates to 77mm equivalent). A pleasing outcome that normally would have been a throw away shot.

The Tongue Mountain range on the left with 5 peaks, Nortwest Bay on left , Narrows on right with Black Mt.

I cannot get over the fun and quality of shots from my drone. In globe mode it will shoot 26 photos 360 degrees then quickly stitch them together. This is a crop from one shot. I like.

Sent the drone a mile and a half across the lake to get a view up through the Narrows. We had beautiful weekend weather.

Upon returning a few more hikers had gathered. All were pleasant and enjoyed the drone. The girl with dog wanted the selfie so I sent to texted it to her phone after exiting. Had to combine 3 shots to get each person's best image. Colleen stayed in the bushes not trusting for Schatzie's safety.

This guy didn't mind my launch and was interested in the drone. Quick shot before launch.

As we exited the guy above mentioned seeing one of these T-shirts. Not politically correct maybe, but so funny to anyone who experiences black flies. They are irksome. In fact there were a few around due to the warm weather and I didn't have bug spray or mesh mask. Colleen at least had the mesh (in photo above). Long sleves and pants were good and we really got no bug bites.

I picked up the  Tozo Crystal EarBuds (review) to try out rather than headphones. For $20 delivered next day by Amazon limited time offer, WOW. They sound so good and don't fall out to the ear. Have loaded up all my old ripped music mp3 files, albums and iTunes playlists. Magnetic case, magnetic charging, digital display, equalizer tuning via app, I be cool now.

A big advancement (dropping Tracfone) was getting the Spectrum $50/mo package deal- internet for TV streaming, wifi, and free cell phone line with unlimited data, talk, & text for a year. So I can also stream free Pandora music anytime. Great for solo hikes and amazingly the microphone in the ear pieces readily allows for telephone calls.

Using the bluetooth from cell phone to my Alexa and a couple other wireless speakers for enjoyment outside and on the go.
