If all the world's a stage, then all of these players are very dedicated actors. Maybe they are re-living reality or are they escaping reality, but their dedication of eating from an open fire, sleeping in tents or taking up the fight is extraordinary. The Mahikan (top) confessed he did this nearly every weekend last year!!! He loves it. ??
I approached the Maybee Farm , one of the oldest (1671) in the State, from the Mohawk River by kayak nearly being taken hostage when the French trooper in blue forage bonnet questioned the status of my bateau. When he's not at war he's stocking parsley at Price Chopper.
Perhaps it's best not to bore with anymore details...

the obsolete Alphas Capital District Maritime Center built these 1760 style Bateaux, the De Sager and the Bobbie G.
The Schenectady County Historical Society owns the farm.
