Prime Minister Abe has apologised, albeit grudgingly and reluctantly, for Japan’s inhumane treatment of the Korean “comfort women”. But has he ever apologised to the worldwide Hashing community for the senseless slaughter on 11th February, 1942 of A.S. Gispert, the founder of our august institution? No, I didn’t think so.
So next Sunday you can commemorate the 76th anniversary of Gispert’s death in one of two ways: you can either head to Nagatacho and moon the Prime Minister’s office or (much more fun and with less chance of arrest) you can joint the Hayama Hash at its Gispert Memorial Run.
Details as follows:
Date: 11th February (Sunday)
Run Start: 15.00
Place: Arrows from Zushi station (JR line),.East Exit and Shin-Zushi station (Keikyu line), North Exit
Hare: Crusader
Run Details: A to A run, with Eagle and Turkey split(s)
Costume: Black (or at least black armband)
Run Cost: Run Fee – JPY1000, On-On (Three Hours nomihodai) – JPY3000
Please let us know your intention to attend the On-On either through the Hayama Hash FB page or by e-mail to run4H@yahoo.com not later than 17.00 on Friday, 9th February.
On! On!
