Corrido evolution

Intro

There's been a global phenomena around the Mexican genre of corridos. This musical expression has its roots in the Mexican revolution and it was used to communicate oral stories from one town to another. The lyrics were based on heroic acts from specific people within the northern region of Mexico. The songs also include two main things: the physical description of the person the corrido is singing about and their personality (character). The purpose of this project is to use the basic elements of the corrido to create lyrics that are specific to each student in the class. They will create  lists with their physical appearances, what they wear and how they perceive themselves. There will also be other questions to add to the lyrics like place of birth, where did they grow up and their first job. This information will be used to create prompts for CHAT GPT. The end result will be a corrido which students will attempt to translate and compare with CHAT GPT’s translation and with the teacher’s guidance.
