Intro

This is a brief preview of a potential post-intermediate/pre-advanced Spanish level course for Spanish Majors and Minors. After having completed the General Education requirements of the university, students would build upon the grammar vocabulary acquired to sharpen and master written expression of the Spanish language. Using the various cultural manifestations of Spanish and Latin-American football as a guide, the most culturally significant club teams and the national- both masculine and feminine selections- allow for in depth cultural and historical themes to be explored. Meanwhile, various forms of media will be presented like articles or the even will have written projects where they have to place themselves in the shoes of a Hispanic football journalist.
