Encruzilhadas Brasileiras

Intro

This project creates a virtual space for encounters of Brazilian literary works that instigate reflections about Brazil through non-canonical perspectives. Although literary works that are produced by Black people in Brazil make up a huge and important part of Brazilian Literature, they are still not well recognized both inside and outside the country. Consequently, it is not very present in Portuguese textbooks and many other Portuguese teaching materials. Thus, this project produces a virtual space with an encounter of some literary works to provide virtual meetings with literature, culture, people, issues, and so on, that compose an important part of the country. In addition, there are some “Routes” that can guide the reader to one of those encounters and reflections. So, through that experience, both instructors and learners can benefit from different aspects of the reading while studying or teaching Portuguese.
