Playing Around: Emotional Intelligence in the ESL Classroom
Intro
This project showcases a theoretical curriculum wherein the final assessment is a theatrical production put on by the students instead of a traditional final exam. Using research on how emotional intelligence positively affects learning in the oral skills classroom, I will walk through the benefits of incorporating teaching emotional intelligence into the curriculum and how an end-of-semester play is a perfect vehicle for this skill to be built.
