Intro
This project presents a music-based digital approach to teaching Spanish at the Intermediate I level, built around a simple premise: language learning does not stop when class ends.
While classroom instruction often takes place in fixed and structured environments, music moves with students. Songs are replayed, remembered, and emotionally processed across everyday contexts. This project leverages that mobility to reinforce grammar, vocabulary, and listening comprehension through curated contemporary Spanish-language music.
By featuring a diversity of genres and voices, this digital songbook presents Spanish as a living, contemporary, and varied language while aligning each track with specific learning objectives and adaptable classroom activities. These activities encourage description, prediction, storytelling, and creative production, allowing grammar to emerge through use rather than mechanical practice, and ultimately increasing engagement and motivation by integrating meaningful language practice into students’ everyday listening habits.
