Intro
In his hilarious presentation at the “Congreso de la Lengua Española” (Argentina, 2004), the late comic artist Fontanarrosa wondered why some words are deemed to be bad.
“Who decides they are bad?”, he says. And “Why?” Do they hit other words? Is it because of their quality? Do they deteriorate after being pronounced and can no longer be used?”
He concludes that some bad words (“palabrotas”) have an expressiveness and strength that makes them unique, and he calls for an amnesty for bad words.
This project attempts at being such an amnesty, inviting bad words into the classroom.
