The school hosted its annual Open House on 22 November 2025, welcoming prospective students and their families from 8.30am to 12.30pm. The event was filled with warmth, excitement and genuine camaraderie, reflecting the strong school spirit that defines what the Springfield Family is all about.
The morning began with the Principal’s Address, where our Principal, Ms Eleanor Chia, shared the school’s vision, core values and commitment to nurturing future-ready learners with a caring heart and the confidence to lead. Parents also gained insight into the school’s academic programmes, student development pathways and key initiatives that support holistic growth. The informative session set a positive tone for the rest of the day.
One of the crowd favourites was the performance Showcase, which featured dynamic performances by the school’s Taekwondo, Dance and Concert Band CCAs. From energising dance numbers to soulful musical pieces, our students demonstrated discipline, passion and teamwork. Their performances brought the school to life and gave visitors a glimpse of the vibrant talents within the school.
Across the campus, subject and CCA booths displayed projects, achievements and hands-on activities. Teachers and student ambassadors engaged visitors with demonstrations, games and personal stories of their learning experiences. Many families expressed appreciation for the informative and interactive nature of the booths, which helped them understand the distinctive programmes the school offers.
Student Councillors also led guided school tours, bringing guests through key facilities such as the rock wall, science laboratories and learning spaces. Their confidence, friendliness and willingness to share their school journeys added a personal touch that resonated with visitors. To round off the experience, guests were invited to redeem a complimentary ice cream, a treat that added a sweet note to the day and was especially popular with younger visitors.
SFSS Open House 2025 was marked by a festive atmosphere, meaningful conversations and authentic interactions. It showcased the heart of our school—our people, our programmes and the positive environment in which our students learn and grow.
