This year ushers in a vibrant and joyous celebration as we bring together International Friendship Day (IFD) and Hari Raya for the very first time. This inaugural collaboration aims to celebrate our shared heritage, foster interpersonal ties, embrace diversity, and strengthen the spirit of friendship. The Hari Raya segment provided a meaningful platform for students to showcase skills they developed during Mother Tongue Fortnight—such as performing the kompang by our Secondary One students and presenting beautiful Batik paintings by our Secondary Two students.
As part of the celebration, students gathered in the hall for an engaging IFD × Hari Raya Drama Showcase presented by Wira Budaya, followed by a vibrant Hari Raya performance by our own students. The programme also included lively sing-along sessions and a fun game segment, such as the samping-tying competition, which brought much excitement and laughter to the hall.
Overall, the celebration was both enriching and enjoyable, offering students a meaningful opportunity to connect, learn, and appreciate the rich cultural tapestry that shapes our school community.
