Springfield’s NPCC (Sea), one of only three sea units in the country, enjoyed a vibrant and eventful year filled with enriching activities. With the unwavering support of our alumni Cadet Instructors and NPCC HQ, our cadets took part in a wide range of developmental opportunities, including the Civil Defence Course, the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA) Course, and a series of insightful lectures conducted by the Coast Guard.
Throughout the year, our unit participated in key experiences such as the Annual Unit Camp and the Adventure Training Camp (ATC). Cadets also embarked on meaningful Learning Journeys to the Police Heritage Centre, the Home Team Gallery, and Brani Base. They had further opportunities to interact with peers from other schools during the CSI Competition and Area Sports Day. A major highlight for many was the exhilarating live-firing session.
NPCC’s mission is to nurture students into confident, disciplined, and socially responsible individuals. Through diverse training programmes—ranging from camps, parades, drills, and campcraft competitions to weapons training and community service—cadets develop essential life skills such as resilience, teamwork, and empathy. These experiences not only build character but also foster mutual respect and strong bonds within the squad.
Every course completed and every badge earned represents a milestone in a cadet’s development. The Corps’ structured progression and ranking system provides clear goals that motivate students to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully as active and responsible citizens.
