Building Our Singapore Together:
National Day Celebrations 2025
Springfield Secondary School marked Singapore’s 60th birthday with a vibrant and heartfelt celebration on Friday, 8 August 2025. In line with the national theme “Building Our Singapore Together,” the school community came together in a joyful display of unity, creativity, and national pride.
The morning began with the National Day Observance Ceremony at the Netball Court, where students and staff gathered to honour the nation through the recitation of the pledge, singing of the National Anthem, and flag-raising. Staff and students added to the festive atmosphere by coming dressed in red tops or school whites, creating a sea of vibrant colour across the campus.
The school moved to the Hall for the National Day Assembly Programme, which featured performances, reflections, and meaningful segments that highlighted Singapore’s journey and the role of youth in shaping its future. Both staff and students alike enjoyed a lively talent show segment entitled ‘Stars of Springfield” presented by the Student Leadership Development team. This showcase celebrated the diverse talents of Springfielders and added an uplifting spirit to the morning’s commemorations.
Back in classrooms, students engaged in the National Day CCE Lesson Package, where they reflected on the year’s theme and expressed their hopes for Singapore. They also received National Day gifts and ended the joyous occasion by writing Teachers’ Day Appreciation Cards, taking a moment to honour the educators who guide and support them daily.
This year’s celebration was a meaningful reminder of what makes Springfield strong: a united community that learns, serves, and grows together for a future-ready Singapore.
Celebrating Our Talented Springfielders
We held our inaugural Stars of Springfield talent show - a wonderful celebration of the creativity and passion within our Springfield community!
Jointly organised by the EXCO members of our Student Councillors and Peer Support Leaders, the event provided a platform for our Springfielders to shine and share their unique gifts. From soulful singing to captivating piano performances, every act was a display of talent, confidence, and heartwork.
It was truly inspiring to see our students grow in self-belief and support one another throughout the show - a reflection of the empathy and camaraderie that define our Springfield spirit.
A big congratulations to Samir Erhan from 4E, our first-ever Stars of Springfield winner! We are so proud of him and of all our talented performers who made the debut event unforgettable.
Stars of Springfield was more than just a showcase of talent; it was a celebration of courage, growth, and joy. We can’t wait to see even more Springfielders step up and shine in the years ahead!
