The Springfield Taekwondo CCA helps students build confidence, discipline, and resilience through the practice of this dynamic martial art. In Springfield, Taekwondo members learn poomsae, sparring, and self-defense, while keeping active through regular training and team-based activities. They also take part in grading tests, the National School Games competitions, and bi-annual camps that strengthen teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and promote bonding among members. Each year, Taekwondo also carries out Values-in-Action (VIA) activities to give back to the community. Through these meaningful experiences, our Taekwondo members grow in both skill and character, becoming well-rounded and confident individuals.
In 2025, Springfield Taekwondo had an exciting and rewarding season at the National School Games, where our C Division Girls clinched 2nd Runner-Up, the B Division Boys also secured 2nd Runner-Up, and the B Division Girls earned 3rd Runner-Up. These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and steady growth of our athletes throughout the year, as they continue to push their limits and represent the school with pride. Beyond the competitions, our members also took part in VIA activities, including a beach and park clean-up and a Taekwondo basement clean-up. These efforts show how they care for the environment, take pride in their shared spaces, and enjoy giving back to the community. Together, these experiences and achievements reflect the strong teamwork, commitment, and values that make Springfield Taekwondo special.
