SFSS Dance CCA 2025: 

A Year of Growth and Teamwork 

The year 2025 has been an uplifting journey for our Dance CCA, filled with challenges, learning experiences, and moments of excitement and gratitude.      

One of the main challenges for us was keeping up with the new choreography, particularly managing precise movements, and timings. Attention to detail, such as correct hand and leg placements, also required consistent effort and focus. However, with the guidance of our coach, the support of teammates, and intensive training sessions, we gradually gained the confidence to perform the Mario and Luigi–themed choreography at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), attaining an Accomplishment Award for the school. The choreography was indeed lively and engaging while the iconic red and green costumes further brought the characters to life and added a fun, memorable element to the performance.

Through dance, we have discovered that success is not solely about talent, but also about discipline, a positive mindset, and teamwork. Though training was demanding, it became increasingly rewarding over time when we continually cheered each other on. Dancing also provided a space to train our focus, express our emotions, and tell a story through our movements on stage. Our SYF experience this year has taught us resilience, and the joy of performing together, and we look forward to continuing our growth as SFSS dancers in 2026.
