ABSTRACT
Pomegranate is a fruit with numerous health advantages, it thrives in warm areas, is used in food and beverages, and can also be used to make desserts, especially a Turkish Delight, also known as “lokum”. It is a sweet treat with cultural significance in many countries across the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The researchers figured it was better to convert this fruit into a Turkish Delight because not many people are familiar with this kind of dessert and fruit. Hence, the decision was made to explore its potential benefits to the community by learning about its culture and health benefits. The idea is that putting these two together would make a good combination of taste and texture. Since Pomegranates are high in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, all of which are beneficial to health, these may be increased when turned into Turkish Delight since it has antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and helps boost the immune system, it also offers quick energy boost due to its sugar and carbohydrate content. The combination of the fruity flavor and texture would make a great combination as it gives health benefits. Exploring the potential health benefits of Pomegranate Turkish Delight is the goal of this study.
