ABSTRACT
This investigatory project explores the creation of vitamin gummy bears using honey, fruit peels, and other organic ingredients, targeting individuals seeking healthier, natural alternatives to conventional supplements. Our research addresses the problem of additives and preservatives commonly found in store-bought gummies, which may be harmful to people's health. By incorporating honey and fruit peels, our project aims to enhance the nutritional value of the gummies while promoting sustainability by utilizing typically discarded food scraps. Finding healthy alternatives with almost zero sugar content is hard to find nowadays, making our research more prominent and harder to investigate, aligning with growing consumer demand for clean, eco-friendly options. Our study seeks to be a product that not only promotes a healthier life but also to be a product that can be targeted to people all across our country or even worldwide. Ultimately, our project seeks to provide an accessible, healthier option for people, especially children, who prefer a more natural method of supplementing their vitamins and minerals while recycling in a way that helps the environment lessen waste. This study concludes that citrus peels are a sustainable and feasible source of gummy vitamins, according to the research, especially since we have a goal to not use any sugar in our recipe. In contrast to commercially available products that are frequently loaded with artificial additives and large amounts of sugar, the resulting gummies should provide a healthier and potentially more environmentally friendly option. Unlike most brands wasting thousands or even more perfectly good peels that will almost certainly be thrown away. Furthermore research will be done for the extraction procedure and adding more vitamins and minerals will be the main goals of future study.
