This study investigates the lack of hands on learning experiences of SeniorHigh School STEM students at Siena College of San Jose Inc. By using qualitativeapproach, this research gathered data on how the students and teachers applytheirown knowledge by having a more hands on activities. It is revealed that many studentsare able to apply their learnings by using laboratory activities with lessons thanhavingto rely on discussions. While the teachers acknowledged the difficulties inteachingstudents with limited sources, large class size, and high academic standards. Thisstudy recommends that the institution should focus on improving on investment inthelaboratory equipment and providing more effective teaching. By enhancinghands-onlearning, schools can more effectively prepare students with the knowledgeandhands-on skills they need to pursue careers in STEM fields. This study highlights the requirement for systemic changes in STEM education to help close the gap between theory and practice.
