ABSTRACT
Food is the third most important thing for all living beings in order to provide energy and development, maintain life, and stimulate growth after air and water. Since food is very essential to us, we should know the facts about how to maintain and prevent food spoilage and contamination. This abstract focuses on the loss of food quality due to bacteria and discusses the different factors that affect the growth of organisms that cause spoilage in our food. This study will also show some experimentation storage techniques on how to prevent food spoilage like drying and salting. Showing some alternative solutions like what alternatives can we use rather than using a refrigerator to prove that there are other ways to store foods without decaying or rotting in an expensive way.
In this investigatory project, we will break down and suggest how to prevent spoilage that makes our food stay long and safe. Factors that help students know and distinguish the signs and causes of spoilage will help them to know what to do and to avoid food poisoning arise. Also, we focus on preservation techniques and strategies like, vacuum packing where you wrap food with plastic, and using the vacuum, it will suck out the air in the plastic, making it unable to form mold or making it unable to spoil.
