This study focuses on the effects of digital screen time on the academic performance of early and middle adolescents in Siena College of San Jose. As technology or digital screen time become a huge contribution to academic performance and entertainment, concerns arise about the possible impact on students' academic success. This study seeks to examine the relationship between digital screen time and academic performance, considering factors such as study habits, time management, and the distinction between the two variables. The researchers employed qualitative research design by using a phenomenological method to determine the connection between digital screen time and academic performance. The aimed respondents were early and middle adolescents (Grade 7-10). This study used survey and questionnaire to gather data about the relationship between digital screen time and academic performance. The findings revealed that digital screen time has an important implication on students' academic performance; Screen time has negative effects on academic performance such as distraction, laziness, and procrastination. The research findings states that screen time can be beneficial as it can help academic task by searching for information in websites. Understanding these effects can aid students, teachers, and schools in promoting responsible digital consumption.
