Understanding the Influence of School Environment on Students’ Academic Perfomance

ABSTRACT

Student's academic performance is influenced by their school and classroom environment, as they spend most of their day in school, and understanding these factors can help create better learning conditions for optimal achievement, benefiting both individuals and society (Baafi, 2020). This study was greatly influenced by important elements, including the facilities at the school and the interactions between the staff and students. The research design that was used in this study is a case study research design. It was conducted at Siena College of San Jose Inc., located in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan, Barangay Graceville. The researchers constructed a survey that determined the capability of their classroom environment; 92% of the respondents answered low temperature and hot environment. About the elements that impact the selected student’s learning, 69% of the respondents answered low temperature. To address this issue, the researchers came up with a recommendation that the school should add more fans or air conditioning in classrooms to reduce the heat and help students stay comfortable.
