Introduction:
This toy allows us to put the sense of smell to work, It will give the child the opportunity to develop sensory skills to identify the aromas that may be in their environment and perform a wide variety of functions such as: they alert us, make us flee or attack, they wake up the appetite, they fan memories because they connect us with moments from our past reviving feelings and emotions.
Procedure:
Color and cut out each of the drawings.
Write on the cover the name of the book with markers or colors "SMELLING BOOK" and glue the drawing of the little skunk with the flower.
Write with markers or colors on the back cover a dedication to the child and date.
Paste the drawings on each of the folder sheets from the second page and write the name of the image with a marker or color.
Cut 7 rectangles of 3 x 2 inches into the fabric.(They all have to be the same to achieve discrimination through smell).
Fold the 7 rectangles of fabric, in half then sew the sides leaving a small part unsewn (to tie the yarn).
Fill the rectangles with each of the spices (garlic onion, lemon, flowers, pepper, cinnamon, and coffee) and sew them closed.
With a needle, tie the yarn in one corner of each of the rectangles, then tie a knot so it doesn't fall off. Leave a piece of yarn hanging.
Join the sheets by passing the yarn through each of the holes and tie a knot at the back of the book.
Tie all the scent yarn and attach to the top yarn that holds the pages of the book.
