Introduction:
Playing with the hobby horse helps develop hand/eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills, imagination, self-awareness, independence, and self-confidence which as they grow will translate into art, music, and creative writing. It can also support your children's critical thinking and decision-making (executive function) and cognitive development.
Procedure:
Fill the sock with the poly fill.
Insert the wooden stick inside the sock and fill with more poly fill if necessary.
Fasten the sock to the wooden stick with a piece of yarn or rubber band, making a knot.
Fasten with the masking tape, the excess of the sock to the wooden stick.
Cover with the tape to decorate the masking tape with which we cover the sock.
Trace the parts of the face on the felt and cut them out.(2 pcs of circles white, 2 pcs of black circles smaller for the eyes, 2 pcs rectangular for the eyelashes, 1 red mouth, 2 pcs brown nose, 2 pcs brown ears).
Sew the two eyes - sew the black circle on top of the white circle and the eyelashes.
Sew the ears on each side of the head.
Sew the nose and mouth to the front of the sock.
Cut the ribbon into two parts and sew the two ribbons around the face.
Form small tufts of yarn and sew them to form the hair of horse.
Make a braid with the yarn (rein) and sew it on the face to hold.
Note: For security purposes we recommend sew all the horse face pieces.
