Emotional intelligence in parents - five basic components.
Self-awareness or self-concept: Be aware of your own feelings and others
Empathy (recognizing the emotions of others): Show empathy and understand the views of others
Emotional self-control: Deal positively with emotional and behavioral impulses and regulate them.
Self-motivation: Set positive goals and make plans to achieve them.
Manage relationships: Use positive social skills when managing your relationships.
