Hello Thursday Families!

Our day started in chapel where we heard a wonderful message from Pastor John and listened to our awesome worship team!

For our devotional, I read a story passage about Solomon's wisdom, and being able to discern our ways from the ways of sin. Our corresponding Bible verse was, "So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?" 1 Kings 3:9

PHYSICAL SCIENCE

After our opening prayer and devotional, we continued on with our Science Project Presentations. This covered the majority of our class as our time was shortened a bit for our Twin Day Spirit Rally! Isaiah, Kaia, Anna, Caleb, Erin, and Sophia all shared about their machines and physicist. We quickly reviewed the Morse Code worksheet before heading to the Sanctuary!

AMERICAN HISTORY

Following the Pledge of Allegiance and Pledge to the Bible, we jumped into the Constitution Trivia game! Students were each given a whiteboard and marker while testing their knowledge on the history of our Constitution! Some interesting facts that were covered in our game were Who was the leader of the Constitutuional Convention? and How many amendments are in the Bill of Rights? Since we had a few students absent last week, we had a few give their best effort in reciting the Preamble to the Constitution! The quiz ended up taking the bulk of our class time so we didn't get to share the Biography Sheets from homework, however, we did review Chapter 17, The End of a Noble Life before dismissal for break!

IEW

We began class with school announcements and then transitioned over to three students, (Hudson, Kaia, and Sophia) sharing their paragraphs while having three more students, (Isaiah, Erin, and Caleb) check off items from the dress-up list! We then read about the Goals for this week, reviewed what the Topic Clincher Rule is (*The topic sentence and the clincher sentence MUST repeat or reflect 3 or 4 key words), our latest dress-up - www.asia. We spent a good amount of time reviewing quality adjectives and strong verbs. Next, we worked together as a class on page 112, and 113 in our text before wrapping up our day!
