A lovely sunny day, not hot and not cold. Contrast to the following day when temperatures soared to the 40s. Lucking out once again we got to hear a bit of the history surrounding the area by our 'Sorrento' crew member. Such as the township of Davistown, named after the family that resided there and made a living from ship building.

Then there was the small ferry 'CodockII' which in itself had an interesting tale to tell. At first we thought we would be sailing in this ancient 'mariner' but it had been pulled into service as the ferry between Woy Woy & Davistown. The 'Sorento' was there to take us on the morning cruise.

For those less mobile, RSL buses were there to transport us to the club, which was about a 10min. walk. Lunch, consisting of either Chicken Schnitzel or Fish & Chips, was delicious as everyone attested to. Dessert consisted of speciality cakes, followed by tea, coffee or hot chocolate.Â

The buses returned people back to the wharf for the return journey to Woy Woy, then the train back to Sydney. An early start, true, but well worth it in the end. The return journey had us all home by 5:30pm, tired but happy.
