Pittwater RSL Lunch

Thursday 27 April 2023

Thursday 27th April'23 saw 20 members set on an adventure for the day. Leaving the Macarthur area by 9:30am by train to Wynyard in the City. Then the double decker yellow bus from the City to Mona Vale. The hardiest braved the upper deck and had a magnificent view as the bus went over the harbour bridge and across to the Northern Beaches. The Autumn day couldn't be better with the sun shining and clear blue skies.

Reaching Mona Vale we crossed the Pacific Highway to then catch a local bus to Pittwater RSL. Much to our surprise the bus stopped right in front of the club, so very little walking. The “Glasshouse” lived up to its name and the lunches were delicious. Definitely first class dining at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff who were delighted that we had come such a long distance to sample their specialities.

Leaving the club we again caught the bus back to Mona Vale, again crossing the Pacific Highway. Here the group split up with half deciding to head back to the city on the “Yellow Bus” once again. The other half, still feeling adventurous, caught a bus to Manly, to get the ferry back to Circular Quay, to board the Macarthur train back home. All in all a lovely day that everyone enjoyed.
