Christmas BBQ Lunch

Annual BBQ at Mt. Annan on Tuesday 19th Dec.'23 was well attended by Minto Probus Members. As usual, our men folk gathered around the BBQ to cook up the sausages and onions.

The trees gave us adequate shade and protection from any wind. Although the temperature was to reach the high 30s in the afternoon, by 1:30 everyone had eaten and and were well on their way home (or shopping in the cool malls) not long after lunch.

Fun was the order of the day, and Christmas songs played out on the CD and sing alongs helped create a happy atmosphere. Christine Moore won the Scratchies Wreath. (Have the Moores left the country?). Stephen also was a good sport when he sang “Happy Little Vegemites” to claim his lucky picnic prize. Other winners played along and sang a verse of a song to also claim a prize.

Thanks to our Events Committee for organising the day and in particular Lesley who ordered and ;picked up the food, while Kathie purchased the fruit and cut it up. And thanks to all the members who came along for a bit of fun and fellowship.
