32 members and potential members attended the club for lunch and the running of the Melbourne Cup. This was the first get-together that members had a chance of attending as a group since the Sydney Zoo excursion on June 21, (due to Covid Shutdown). Getting the chance to chat and enjoy a nice meal was a welcomed change, and a sign that life will begin to get back to a new normal. Of course we had a flutter on the race, and the all too popular cup sweeps held by the club gave you an odds on chance of picking a winner. Some won, some lost, but it didn't matter, as this once a year gamble helped get you into the swing of the celebrations.

Everyone had a fascinator on as the photos will show. Not to be left out, Barry, our only male participant (brave enough to come along), joined in the fun. Thanks to everyone who made it a great day and for the RSL who provided a lovely choice of meals, and giving us a section of the club all to ourselves.
